WELCOME TO OUR COALITION!!!
Saving Lives, under the auspices of The Marion & Aaron JCC, is a White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) and Center for Disease Control (CDC) Drug Free Communities (DFC) grantee to provide critical awareness, prevention and educational campaigns and initiatives – ensuring the Greater Five Towns Communities are safe for our youth and their families. Our mission is “bringing about community awareness to address youth mental health and addiction issues and to reduce youth drug and alcohol misuse through education, media advocacy, increased enforcement and changes in policies.”
Our Coalition is comprised of individuals from 12 sectors (Law Enforcement, Business, Behavioral Health, Healthcare, Schools, Parents, Youth, Youth Serving Organizations, Religious Organizations, Civic/Volunteer organizations, Government Officials and Media).
Saving Lives is open to anyone who wishes to join our organization and become an active participant in creating community wide environmental changes and become a voice for the health and welfare of our community.
Saving Lives Coalition has created this comprehensive user-friendly website with a wide range of very important subjects for both parents, educators and youth.
You will find valuable, informative content, practical tips and guidance from highly regarded experts in the field. Included are numerous topic-related educational videos throughout the site to help you become well-informed and to familiarize yourselves with youth mental health, alcohol and substance misuse. Listed on our Additional Resources page are many contacts if you have a specific topic you wish to research.

As a native Five Towns resident and living primarily in the 5 Towns for my entire life, this community is more than just a place I call home. The Five Towns is my identity; the neighborhood, people, and environment are a part of me. It is what gives me meaning and a clear sense of values. Therefore, nothing can be more important than ensuring this community’s growing vitality.
That’s where Saving Lives Five Town Drug & Alcohol Coalition comes in. To protect, prevent, and save the lives of our youth. The youth are the bedrock of our community. Their strength and resilience determine our community’s trajectory into the future. Therefore, my goal is to disseminate the Coalition’s mission with warmth, excitement, and compassion to all four corners of the Five Towns.
I welcome you to join me on this expedition and see how you can impact yourself and all those around you through the Coalition’s awareness and prevention programs, campaigns, initiatives, policy advocacy and education.
